Check Us Out at The Gadget Blog
http://www.thegadgetblog.com/2008/07/17/crazytoe-offers-rent-to-own-gadget-plans/

The Gadget Blog covered the opening of crazytoe.com this week. While we were billed as a "rent to own" site," which is really just one of the many benefits to out members, the exposure is great as this is a highly trafficked site!

Remember, guys, buying the phone you are borrowing is only an option! The real advantage is the ability to exchange the phone for a newer one anytime you feel like it, thus affording you a much higher degree of flexibility regarding how long you decide to move on to the next phone. The author asks the question, do you have to be seen using a certain phone? Hard crazytoe fans need to visit the site and answer: HECK YEAH!!!

Still, the exposure is awesome and a definite thanks to the editors over at The Gadget Blog for taking the time to check us out.

MAKING THE MARRIAGE OF TECHNOLOGY AND FASHION A HAPPY ONE

Solving The Cell Phone’s Fashion Factor Dilemma

The Top Ten Fashion Phones listed on popular technology website infosync.com convey the message clearly, today’s cell phone users want devices that text, surf the internet and allow them to listen to their favorite tunes, but they also want their devices to be sleek, compact, and, well, shiny.  Cell phones dangle in full view of one’s friends and associates thus bearing an iconic quality that promises to outdate the notion that clothes make the man or woman.

Fashion labels such as Prada, Giorgio Armani, and now Dior have already, for example, lent their creative talents to design phones with companies such as LG or Samsung, and these phones retail anywhere from $600.  Unfortunately, rapidly changing technology and fashion-ability render these high fashion cell phones yesterday’s news long before their end of life.  Coupled with the fact that these phones aren’t usually available through cellular provider’s subsidized contracts, the fashion-ability factor and the financial factor clash uncomfortably for users who are technologically, fashionably, and financially conscious.

Touting the tag, “Why buy, when you can borrow?” website www.Crazytoe.com offers fashion conscious cell phone users the opportunity to borrow the latest cell phones for a reasonable monthly fee and trade up when the love for fashion exceeds the love for the one’s current cell phone.  Creator and developer, Tariq Hasan says, “Benefits to users are numerous. Members can fulfill their desire to be on the cutting edge of technology, feel financially responsible, and even environmentally responsible by simply borrowing a cutting edge gadget and then letting someone else borrow it when they’re done.”  The site doesn’t just lend out cell phones, other personal gadgetry such as GPS systems, personal media players, Ultra Mobile Personal Computers (UMPCs), and handhelds are also available for borrowing.  With its launch, Crazytoe.com aims to solve the problems inherent in the fashion factor of technology.

Despite, Crazytoe.com’s mantra that “technology should always be borrowed, not bought,” members will always have the option to purchase the phone they’ve borrowed at a reduced price.  Crazytoe’s phones won’t circulate more than twelve months, at which point they’ll be offered for sale on the site’s Garage Sale section.

“This site,” Hasan says, “is about giving people who love technology the opportunity to fully experience it first hand.”
